camino training in Hong Kong

We arrived in HK to lots of rain and 30 degrees. Practised for the camino by walking up and down Nathan Road dodging lethal umbrellas. Squeezed ourselves through a crowd of abut 1/2 million Phillipine women hawking scratches and phone cards at central plaza - must be some sort of Sunday tradition! By the time we hit the hotel we were wet through. Bargin of the day - Japanese noodle house lunch for 4 for only $120 HK dollar ($30NZ)

  2. Hello!!!
All sounds very exciting! I think of you all about twenty times a day - wondering where you are and what you are doing. At least it is raining and 30 degrees over there, its raining and about 10 degrees here! Hope you get to Europe ok

  3. Strangely enough, it is hard for us to be sympathetic about the weather!!!! How long were you planning on staying in Paris? Just read on the forum about a three day train strike upsetting travel in France....

  4. Hi, Neighbours - lucky you to have been experiencing Hong Kong. Bet it has changed since I was there in around 1971 :-)

All's well in Palmy town - still lots of leaves, frosty temps and sunshine today.

Thinking of you heaps as you embark on such an awesome endeavour...and so looking forward to tracking your progress.

Take care - Viv, Rob and the fat feline :-)

  5. Hi, there again - you guys are just Amazing - this must be a life-changing experience for you all (certainly is for those of us reading your journey!) - and no doubt the blisters will be long forgotten. We are following you on our maps and reading up the book as you go.

Very soggy here - just another Palmy winter - so nothing too exciting to report. All looks well at your house - and the Mere Mere trees are very bare, at last.

Thinking of you in the sunshine - take care.

    Viv & Rob.
